Description: Business Development Account Executive
Job Summary:
The Business Development (BD) Account Executive reports to the Manager of Business Development and Strategic Partnerships and is primarily responsible for researching and generating leads, building the sales pipeline, and closing business that generates revenue and enhances AAPA’s strategic and financial growth. The BD Account Executive is responsible for providing excellent customer service, closing deals and processing documentation after the sales process is complete. The BD Account Executive will be responsible for annual non-dues revenue and growth strategy targets as set forth by the Manager of Business Development and Strategic Partnerships.
Duties/Responsibilities:

Research prospective accounts in target markets and develops plans to close business and create long-term strategic partnerships that generate revenue and enhance AAPA’s overall strategic and financial growth.

Develops a robust book of leads and prospects and qualifies them accordingly to contribute to a diverse portfolio.

Tracks all clients through the entire sales process from initial outreach to close of business in HubSpot CRM.

Utilizes HubSpot CRM to maintain records of all contacts, accounts, and orders as identified by AAPA.

Maintains detailed reports of all outreaches with prospective and current clients.

Works collaboratively across the organization for product/program development, execution, and partner satisfaction.

Partners closely with AAPA’s meeting, membership, marketing/communications, education, and PA foundation teams to ensure smooth and efficient communication across client accounts.

Works with existing staff to promote and support all conferences and meetings exhibit sales, product theaters, advertising, sponsorships, and any other additional business development opportunities with appropriate parties.

Assists in the management of all strategic partners and business accounts including, coordinating meetings, agenda & presentation prep, contracts, invoicing, and management of agreement components including reporting and revenue sharing.

Works with partners and AAPA staff to ensure all deliverables offered in agreements are executed to the client’s satisfaction.

Proficient and functional knowledge of MS Office (including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
Education and Experience:

Minimum of two years of experience in business development, fundraising, and/or sales, with a preference for candidates with healthcare industry experience.

Demonstrated expertise in HubSpot, including advanced proficiency in utilizing its marketing, sales, and service hubs to drive business growth and streamline operations.

Proven track record of consistently meeting or surpassing assigned revenue targets.

High school diploma required; associate degree preferred.
