Quirch Foods is seeking a meticulous Quality Assurance Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a keen eye for detail and a strong understanding of quality control processes and procedures.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct daily warehouse inspection and generate audit report. Communicate findings with warehouse manager and maintenance supervisor.
- Monitor warehouse temperatures daily and trailer temperatures during deliveries.
- Conduct periodic product inspections for wholesomeness, quality and specification compliance.
- Coordinate sample shipments to customers.
- Complete a product quality control report on all incoming direct shipment and maintain a file for review. POs will be selected at random.
- Conduct a daily fresh poultry aging report and create daily push sheet for Sales Department and send via e-mail to responsible parties.
- Maintain monthly key performance indicators (KPI) report for the QA department.
- Review and generate periodic reports of fresh and frozen products, other than poultry, and create a push list for the sales department and management on aging product inventory to be sold.
- Review all aging product inventory for proper slotting and date rotation and report any problems to the local inventory team and Warehouse Manager.
- Evaluate all returned product for quality and wholesomeness before returning to inventory and assess if the customer will receive credit for the returned product.
- Assist QA manager and other QC’s in their day-to-day responsibilities.
All product discards must be recorded daily in the QC network drive specific to your facility, with a complete reason for the transfer to miscellaneous.
Experience:
- Proven experience in quality inspection and assurance within a manufacturing environment
- Familiarity with fabricating processes and materials
- Proficiency in using precision measuring tools like micrometers
- Knowledge of Quality Control methodologies and techniques
- Experience with Vision Inspection Systems and Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMM) is a plus
- Understanding of FDA regulations related to product quality and safety
