Education/Experience:
High school diploma or equivalent and welding certification required. In lieu of education requirement, completion of 9th grade, 2 ½ years apprenticeship training and welding certification may be substituted.
INTERVIEW SELECTION PROCESS: The selection process may include one or more components to demonstrate applicants’ knowledge, skills and abilities in job related areas. These may include exercises such as practical demonstrations, written communications, oral interviews and/or competency assessments.

Internal Candidates will have a record evaluation check to determine if they are eligible to continue in the interview process. Candidates will be automatically disqualified for interview consideration if their record evaluations for the rolling year backward at the time of review consist of :
- Any instances of absence without leave (AWOL)
- Any disciplinary actions
- A combined total of more than three (3) occurrences and/or lose outs (tardies)
- Any valid customer complaints

Summary:
Duties include a variety of job assignments; i.e., building, bus or shop equipment, cracked frames of buses, parts modifications and outside fence work. These jobs and other special assignments frequently reflect the assignments performed by the Welders as delegated from their Foreman.
