Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Event Coordinator to join our team. The best fit for this role is someone who desires to be a proud ambassador for RMHC-NM, constantly thinking of new ways to engage people and share opportunities with our community.
Responsibilities:
- Plan, schedule, and execute logistical support for special events (live and virtual) from inception to completion.
- Coordinate logistics for all internal events (e.g. family Holiday party) and other chapter happenings.
- Work with RMHC-NM staff and volunteers to ensure coverage for all pre-, during and post-event needs.
- Establish timelines for all aspects of events; work with external relations team to create and execute plans for event promotions.
- Coordinating with RMHC-NM staff, solicit and track event sponsorships, in-kind gifts, raffle, and auction items.
- Recruit and develop event committees and other resources enhancing events and promotion.
- In conjunction with the volunteer coordinator, identify volunteer needs for events, assist with recruiting and training for specific events.
- Conduct After Action Review (AAR) for all RMHC-NM events with appropriate participants, collecting feedback and implementing process improvements.
- Attend all events and represent RMHC-NM in the community as requested.
Experience:
- Minimum of two years of experience working with a nonprofit preferred.
- Strategic thinking with effective problem-solving and decision-making skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Demonstrate respect for diverse cultures.
- Confidence in public speaking.
- Flexibility and multi-tasking abilities
- Ability to think creatively to grow special events in portfolio.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Google Suite, Adobe Acrobat, and internet research.
- Database entry and maintenance experience preferred.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $16.00 - $20.00 per hour
Expected hours: 35 – 40 per week
