Responsibilities:
- Respond to emergency calls and provide medical assistance to patients in various settings, including homes, public areas, and vehicles.
- Assess the patient's condition and provide appropriate medical treatment and interventions.
- Administer medications, including injections, as directed by medical professionals.
- Perform physical examinations and obtain vital signs to assess the patient's overall health status.
- Utilize aseptic techniques to prevent infection transmission during patient care procedures.
- Provide patient care in accordance with established protocols and guidelines.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, such as doctors and nurses, to ensure comprehensive patient care.
- Assist in the transportation of patients to medical facilities, ensuring their safety and comfort.
- Document all patient interactions, treatments provided, and observations accurately and thoroughly.
Qualifications:
- Valid certification as an Emergency Medical Technician (EMT).
- Knowledge of human anatomy and physiology.
- Experience administering injections and medications.
- Familiarity with emergency medical procedures and protocols.
- Ability to perform physical examinations and assess vital signs accurately.
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with patients, their families, and healthcare professionals.
- Ability to remain calm under pressure and make quick decisions in emergency situations.
- Experience in critical care settings, such as the emergency room or intensive care unit (ICU), is preferred.
- Knowledge of airway management techniques and equipment.
