A specialized consulting firm whose goal is to help companies manage their information assets and stay secure so they can focus on the operation of their business. This is not a traditional managed service provider or staffing firm.
The work environment includes
- Work-from-home days with occasional travel to client sites around the I 64 and I 75 corridors
- On-the-job training
- Relaxed atmosphere day-to-day with an understanding there are some emergencies that will occur from time to time needing both discretion and the ability to be on call
Job Description
We are seeking an experienced engineering focused person who has managed at least five people, in the last 10 years in the IT industry, preferably in the IT service provider space to act as a team lead and mentor for our level one and level two technical team members.
The ideal candidate will be proficient as an expert in Microsoft Server Technology, Active Directory, Group Policy, Microsoft 365, Azure, Network Switch, Firewall and Wireless Troubleshooting. This role requires a self-motivated individual with the ability to manage themselves and their team, understand organizational goals, and drive towards those goals with minimal supervision while hitting timelines set by the organization. This role is designed to be roughly 60% Technical and 40% process improvement.
Key Responsibilities
Team Leadership: Lead and mentor a team of IT professionals, ensuring high-quality service delivery to our clients.
Technology Framework Management: Drive and track technology framework items, ensuring alignment with organizational goals. ITIL training/awareness a plus
Escalation Point: Serve as an escalation point for your team and clients to ensure client satisfaction
Client-Facing Engagements: Occasionally visit client sites to provide on-site support and build strong client relationships.
Technical Reporting: Our new team member must be able to communicate effectively and provide periodic documentation to our clients.
Experience:
Minimum of 10 years in the IT industry, preferably within an IT service provider environment.
Skills:
We are more concerned about soft skills and technical knowledge than having a checkbox in each one of the items listed below. When you read these, please keep in mind that we are looking for someone with some experience in multiple areas to be a very effective team leader and a mentor to people who are experts in the other areas. This is a hands-on position, but we are not expecting the person who joins us to be an expert in every item listed below.
