Position: Licensed Behavioral Health Clinician

A Behavioral Health Clinician is a supportive force behind both, and we are currently seeking someone exceptional to take the helm. The ideal candidate will be responsible to provide diagnostic assessments, therapy, counseling, and support services for a mixed caseload including adults, adolescents, and families experiencing mental health and substance use issues. This is an opportunity to work as a part of a dynamic multi-disciplinary team, providing services to a broad spectrum of clients.. The candidate should also have an ability to multitask, manage complex schedules, and meet changing deadlines is essential to the position.

Responsibilities:
- Complete diagnostic evaluations to include history, background, issues, and symptoms
- Create and maintain an up-to-date client records to effectively track patient treatment processes
- Offer recommendations and solutions to address behavioral health issues such as depression, stress, suicide impulse, and anger
- Liaise with the families of patients to monitor and assist patients through the recovery process
- Refer clients to psychiatrists or psychologists for proper medical attention
- Organize individual and group counseling sessions
- Help clients cultivate skills and coping mechanisms necessary in overcoming their challenges
- Develop and implement treatment plans/procedures effective in resolving patients behavioral health concerns
- Track the progress of treatment to determine the need for plan adjustment
- Supervise junior/trainee counselors to ensure services provided are up to acceptable standards
- Participate in conferences and seminars to improve job knowledge/skill
- Attend all staff meetings as scheduled
- Serve on the clinical team
- Other duties as assigned within scope of role by the CEO to drive DLCP mission, values and vision
Requirements and Qualifications:

Posses a Masters degree in a human services field
- Possess Maryland Licensure to include LCSW-C or LCPC
- at least 5 years' experience working in an outpatient or acute care Behavioral Health treatment setting.
- Knowledge of office management systems and procedures
- Excellent time management skills and ability to multitask and prioritize work
- Attention to detail and problem-solving skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong organizational and planning skills
- Proficiency in MS Office.

Clinical Supervisor or Clinical Director
Physical Capacity:
Must be able to sit and stand for 20 minutes and lift at least 10 lbs.
