Maintenance Technician II

Position Summary:
Responsible for inspection, installation and repair of machines used for production and within the tool room and maintenance machining areas. In addition, build and re-build equipment for various manufacturing needs, including but not limited to, the material handling/conveyor and part removal systems, mill drives and press bases, Austempers and Box Ovens.
Essential Job Functions include, but are not limited to, the following:

Follow specified maintenance and repair procedures to install, maintain, and repair production machinery and tools.

Help troubleshoot, isolate and repair manufacturing machinery & equipment including mills, presses, conveyors etc.

Use the following equipment safely:

Hand tools

Hand and Surface grinders

Wheel Puller
-
Torches
-
Pipe Threader
-
Hydraulic Jacks
-
Welders
-
Scissor Lift
-
Lathe
-
Forklift
-
Milling Machine
-
Drill Presses
-
Work in a safe manner, providing constant attention and communication regarding safety concerns to leaders to limit unsafe practices throughout the facility.

Perform preventive maintenance and provide input on updates to preventive maintenance schedules.

Complete and manage work orders via the Plex system.

Provide direction and coaching to less experienced team members, as well as mentor apprentices as requested. Additional functions, not specifically outlined in this position description, as directed by the supervisor.

Ability to effectively communicate with all levels of internal company and external associates, both written and orally, including the telephone.

Mobility within the work facility.

Ability to lift to 50 pounds on occasion.
-
Sit or stand for much of a normal workday.
-
May need to be on your feet for extended periods around the facility.

Wear proper PPE.
-
Ability to reach with hand and arms, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl, as required to work with equipment.

Work safely in all areas of responsibility.

Work in a hot environment occasionally.

High School Diploma or GED

Journeyman Machine Repair or Machine Repair Apprenticeship Certificate of Completion

Minimum of two years of Machine Repair experience.

Proficient in Pneumatics and Hydraulics
-
Basic understanding of relevant Robotic controls.

Proficient with Microsoft Applications (e.g., word, excel, outlook, etc.).
