Shipping and Receiving Clerk
The shipping and receiving department plays a vital role in ensuring that the customer receives their product in a timely manner. This role will be the first and last in the line of quality assurance. Self-motivated and able to work independently, the shipping/receiving clerk will be responsible for the coordination of incoming and outgoing shipments. Verifying accuracy and quality and directing movement of shipments from shipping and receiving area to designated hold areas and storage bins.
Your primary duties and responsibilities will be:
- Greet truck drivers at the shipping desk area, provide loading/unloading location.
- For outgoing trucks identify what customer is picking up and the destination.
- Alert lift drivers of the trucks arrival.
- Check the daily pick up log and ensure that cones are placed on all pallets and crates for the days outgoing freight.
- Obtain and record weights and dims for completed crates and pallets.
- Communicate weights and dims to logistics team for shipment setup.
- Ship outgoing transfers from other facilities in Epicor
- Verify and receive incoming transfers from other facilities in Epicor.
- Visually inspect all incoming shipments for obvious signs of damage
- Sign for and verify incoming shipments.
- Communicate discrepancies and damages to supervisor and purchasing group.
- Work with Quality department to execute inbound inspections as necessary
- Receive materials into Epicor (POs, RMAs, TROs)
- Performs other duties as directed

- Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Word, Excel, Access and Outlook
- Knowledge of Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system (i.e. Epicor) a plus
- Must be self-directed and motivated and able to multi-task in a fast-paced, manufacturing environment
- Work schedule flexibility to accommodate the needs of the business.
- Epicor experience preferred
Educational Requirements:
- High School Diploma or GED
- 0 – 2 year experience in a similar position preferred
