Commercial Lines Account Manager
Benchmark Insurance Group of Texas is seeking an experienced Small Business Commercial Lines Account Manager to oversee their own, already established, book of business. We incorporate systems and platforms to ensure our Account Managers can service clients’ needs with ease. Cold calling and door knocking are a thing of the past as we provide all the leads you can imagine. In this position, you will help aid clients with service needs, meet monthly sales goals, and foster relationships to maintain high levels customer retention.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Deliver a high level of personal attention to prospective and existing customers
- Quote new business and re-market existing business
- Gather information and evaluate clients’ needs against available insurance products for each client and negotiate terms and conditions with carriers
- Provide coaching on commercial insurance policy options upon request
- Develop and present risk management assessments to advise clients on ways to minimize and avoid claims
- Extensive knowledge and ability to complete various Acord forms
- Ability to accurately deliver policy and endorsement documentations in a timely manner
- Manage account receivables for direct bill and agency bill accounts, as well as accounts setup on premium financing
- Ability to upsell and/or cross sell other policies
What you bring to the table:
- State-issued, valid insurance license(s) required: Property and Casualty Insurance License (required)
- High school diploma or GED (required)
- A bachelor’s degree in mathematics, statistics, sales, marketing, or other related fields, is a plus
- Previous experience in the insurance industry as an account manager for commercial lines (required)
- A thorough understanding of a variety of insurance company policies and insurance coverage offerings, including their costs and benefits
- Sound knowledge or eagerness to learn the intricacies of working procedures within commercial enterprises to best advise clients on relevant policies
- Proficient in Microsoft Office programs such as Word and Excel (required)
- AMS or other Vertafore platforms a plus but not required
- AgencyZoom experience a plus but not required
- Excellent research, analytical, negotiation, and communication skills are required

Pay: $50,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year
