Job Description
This role entails overseeing inbound freight operations to facilitate seamless logistics. You will also be responsible for maintaining shipping documentation, negotiating rates with brokers, and coordinating with your operations team. Strong negotiation abilities and the capacity to establish a network of relationships with brokers are essential for this role. You will be a part of a team that updates all daily in transit loads within the company, giving timely updates and concerns for any immediate necessary fixes to dispatch managers and operations team. Must have excellent communication skills, the ability to remain focused and organized and the ability to critical think and double check your work, with the ability to quickly adapt to an ever-changing workflow. Must be able to stay focused during a constantly changing workflow to ensure all business-critical tasks are completed daily. The ability to manage high volume, high priority tasks throughout a day and the knowledge of how to organize to never miss business critical items. The goal every day for our team is to ensure the smooth operations of the product from point A to point B. The work schedule for this position is Monday through Friday, from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
General Duties
· Solicitation and scheduling timely and efficient loads for both Company and LP divisions.
· Negotiate rates and book loads with brokers to achieve the highest margin possible.
· Provide customers with information on service, equipment availability, and shipment status.
· Make pick-up and delivery appointments based on customer orders and schedules.
· Monitor shipments and work with ops team to eliminate fines and late fees due to service failure (missed pickup and delivery appointments).
· Interact with customers and drivers in a polite and professional manner.
· Works as a team to maintain driver satisfaction and tractor utilization.
· Ensure compliance with all relevant HOS/DOT regulations and company policies.
· Monitor loads in transit, troubleshoot and foresee delays in delivery of customer orders (weather delays, loading delays, highway closures) and updates operations team.
· Provide support and back-up duties of administrative and system support tasks in the department and team.

Qualifications
· High School Diploma or Equivalent and 1 Year of Freight Dispatching and Freight Brokerage experience preferred.
· Ability to accurately analyze situations and reach productive decisions based on informed judgment.
· Strong Team Player with the ability to act in a professional manner.
· Have knowledge of Federal DOT regulations.
· Highly motivated with good time management skills.
· Computer, Phone and Email Skills
· Familiarity with North American highway systems and general Geography.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $16.00 - $18.00 per hour
