Job Summary: Support the assembly unit with set up and maintenance of new and existing assembly equipment.
Essential Functions:
· Support production day to day with assembly equipment issues. Reduce downtime.
· Follow guidelines for preparation, launch, and troubleshooting of assembly products
· Support engineering with machine runoffs as needed
· Must work with other departments within the company to support the above related activities
· Conduct process time studies and perform process improvements
· Evaluate plans to improve manufacturing processes and implement
· Be able to understand work instructions, inspection standards and other documentation for assembly, testing or post processes operations on the production floor
· Verify internal assembly rates
· Assist other engineers to conduct unique product testing according to customer requirements
· Use analytical thinking and techniques to solve sometimes complex functional problems of assembled products
· Use efficient time management skills to oversee multiple projects at once
· Perform general maintenance according to provided schedule
· All other duties assigned
Education:
· High School Diploma or GED
Experience/Skills/Requirements:
· Basic knowledge of Industrial Technology systems / or related field. 1-2 years’ experience
· PLC/Robotic programming/troubleshooting experience is preferred.
· Must be able to communicate effectively in the written and verbal English language
· Must possess a high level of concentration and ability to focus on details
· Must be able to communicate effectively with both floor associates and management regarding matters such as process, technique, equipment, tooling and other matters that pertain to essential functions
· Must have basic computer skills
· Must be familiar with Microsoft Office, Project, PowerPoint and Excel, Windows XP
· Must be familiar with basic manufacturing processes to successfully enhance new project launch and contribute to continuous improvement
· Work overtime as needed
Physical/Ergonomic Requirements:
· Must be able to move about freely and spend extended periods standing
· Some lifting required
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $22.00 - $25.00 per hour
