Tax Administrator – Los Angeles

We have a great opportunity for a Tax Administrator to assist the tax department personnel for the Los Angeles office of a top national public accounting firm. The Tax Administrator provides administrative support to the Tax Department, including assembly of tax return packages, e-file processing and tax engagement letters. This position requires the ability to work with minimal oversight and complete detailed projects in a timely manner. This position also provides extension and tax return processing support on a national platform.
Essential Functions:

Assemble tax return packages for client/government filings, including e-filings.

Manage, organize and update relevant data using software applications.

Prepare tax department GFR – “Due Date Open Items” for weekly meetings.

Tax engagement letter preparation and tracking.

Process and mail year-end tax documents to clients, including tax engagement letters, and tax organizers.

Arrange and participate in meetings, conferences and project team activities.

Train professional associates and tax administrative personnel on key tax procedures.

Prepare correspondence as requested.

Organize and order all tax department forms, and related supplies.

Perform general clerical duties to include but not limited to copying, mailing and filing.

This position is an in-person position, 4 days a week.

Overtime hours are required and paid during busy season(s). Saturdays during busy season may be required.
Additional Responsibilities:

Provides backup for reception as needed.

Provides tax administration backup for other California offices if needed.

Provides support to Partners as needed.

Maintain tax department calendar.
Qualifications:

Three to four years of administrative experience, preferably in a professional services environment.

Bachelor’s degree, preferred.

Excellent Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint skills.

CCH Axcess, GoSystems, SafeSend, Go File Room (GFR), SurePrep, Tax Caddy, InTapp, DocuSign, ShareFile, preferred.

Ability to communicate effectively and professionally with every level of the organization.

Compensation Range
Hourly: $28.00 - $32.00
