Our client is looking for an experienced, fun, and energetic full-time Lead Preschool Teacher to join their premier early learning facility in Scarsdale. The age of students in this classroom range from 2.5- to 3-years-old.
Salary and Benefits:
- $18.00 - $22.00/hour pending qualifications, credentials, and professional experience

Job Responsibilities:
- Ability to contribute to a “learning is fun” environment by assisting in the delivery of the school’s curriculum, lesson plans, and educational activities
- Ability to keep children within sight and sound supervision at all time
- Ability to change children’s diapers and/or assist with toileting (where necessary)
- Ability to communicate effectively and professionally with school personnel, children, and parents
- Ability to multitask in a lively environment and work well within a team
- Ability to handle crisis situations, including assisting in evacuating the building during emergencies
- Willingness to attend required staff meeting, training, and ongoing professional development
Qualifications:
- Must be at least 18 years old with either a High School diploma or GED
- Must be able to lift items/children ~30 pounds
NYS Lead Teacher candidates must meet one of the following education/experience requirements:
Option 1: AA or BA in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, or related field.
Option 2: CDA and at least 1-year of experience related to caring for children.
Option 3: At least 2-years of experience related to caring for children AND at least 9 completed college credits in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, or related field, with a plan of study leading to a:
- Child Development Associate Credential;
- Other Office recognized credential specific to the preschool developmental period; or
- Associate’s Degree in Early Childhood, Child Development or a related field
