Licensure, Registration, and/or Certification Required:

Registered Technologist (RT) registration issued by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT), and
-
Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) registration and certification issued by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) needs to be obtained within 2 years, or
-
Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) certification issued by the Canadian Association of Medical Radiation Technologists (CAMRT), or
-
Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) certification issued by the American Registry of Magnetic Resonance Imaging Technologists (ARMRIT), and
-
Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification issued by the American Heart Association (AHA) needs to be obtained within 6 months unless department leader has determined it is not required.
Education Required:

Advanced training beyond High School that includes the completion of an accredited or approved program in Radiologic Technology.
Experience Required:
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Required:

Knowledge of cross sectional anatomy and magnetic safety.

Competent in IV and venipuncture (if required by facility).

Excellent communication, interpersonal and patient service skills to work effectively with physicians, patients and other staff members.

Ability to work independently.

Intermediate computer skills.

Team members will maintain annual educational requirements for hospital based certifications (e.g.DNV, CARF or others).
