The nurse manager will promote the mission and values of the organization and be an active advocate of providing quality patient care, excellent customer service and efficient health care. As a member of the management team, the nurse manager will be involved in system planning, budgeting, manpower planning and program development in order to deliver efficient, effective and quality patient care.
Responsibilities

Acts as a consultant and resource person for service specialty charge staff, staff, physicians and medical center support services.

Assigns and monitors all staff in a manner which assures meeting patient needs, effective staff and facility resource utilization in a cost effective and efficient manner.

Evaluates staff performance.

Fosters a working climate which promotes teamwork, professionalism and customer satisfaction.

Participates in planning and promoting unit goals which are consistent with the philosophy of Hillcrest Medical Center.

Participates in the preparation of the unit budgets by providing input and making recommendations.

Plans and directs daily activities.

Promotes staff development and encourages staff academic pursuits.

Ensures compliance with all regulatory and accrediation standards as well as Ardent Health policies.

Working knowledge and documented application of the nursing process in daily work.
Qualifications
Experience
-
Minimum of 3-5 years’ clinical nursing experience in area of specialty preferred.

Certification in clinical specialty preferred.
Education/Certification

Bachelor’s in Nursing from an accredited school of nursing required.

Current RN license or current license deemed acceptable by the applicable State Board of Nursing.

Maintains current BLS certification.
