JOB SUMMARY:
The Talent Acquisition Specialist is responsible for the entire recruitment life-cycle. They manage inbound and outbound communications with potential candidates. They track the hiring process within our applicant tracking system, present offers, and assist with the development of new recruiting processes, strategies, and tools.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Continually conduct sourcing activities to fill open positions and create a pipeline for future vacancies. Represent the company internally and externally at events with a goal of networking and building relationships with potential candidates and their communities. Build long-term relationships with past and potential candidates.
Familiarity with company benefits, position duties, and culture to assist in the attraction and retention of the workforce. Perform analysis of current factory workforce needs as it relates to organizational development, compensation, benefits, etc. Work closely with the marketing department to develop creative ways for attracting and retaining talent.
Review employment applications, background check and drug test reports. Manage respective candidate pools to ensure qualified candidates remain engaged in current or future opportunities. Ability to select the right candidate for the right position and shift.
Work with the HR Team to get the formal offer approved, created and onboarding scheduled. Present offers to candidates and coordinate start dates with the Operations team. Manage hiring process by using the Applicant Tracking System. Successfully acclimate new hire on their first day by giving a tour and turning them over to the HR Generalist for a formal orientation and hand-off.
- Staffing Agency Management
Analyze current staffing agency agreements and develop required contract terms to implement company wide. Manage the process of temporary employee conversions to full-time employment. Build and maintain relationships with staffing agencies to assist in temporary staffing needs.
Express command of English grammar. Demonstrate proficiency at verbal, written and electronic communication. Ability to successfully screen and interview candidates via in person, telephone and video conference. Communicate regularly with the HR department to get a clear view of company’s hiring needs and organizational goals.
Work well with others. Actively participate in team meetings. Prioritize own workload. Seek advice when needed. Reflect a positive attitude and support towards the company by being a brand ambassador for American Textile Company.
- Talent Acquisition Metrics
Generate monthly updates that illustrate current recruitment activity and upcoming initiatives. Proactively seek market intelligence to gain competitive advantage in attraction, assessment and sourcing methodologies.
- Post open vacancies both internally and externally.
- Manage applicant tracking system to measure recruitment activity.
- Perform background checks by using a third party vendor.
- Administer candidate drug tests by using a third party vendor.
- Conduct in-person, telephonic, or video call interviews with qualified candidates.
- Provide tours to new factory workers.
- Present offers and schedule start dates with coordination from the HR and Operations team.
- Work within a defined budget and track to meet or come in below budget.
- Attend career fairs and hiring events to build pipeline of candidates.
ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS:
- Associates degree or equivalent required.
- 3 years minimum work related experience required.
- Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft office suite and HRIS systems.
- Ultimate Software experience a plus.
- Strong organizational skills including follow up and tracking.
- Professional demeanor, creative thinker and proactive problem solver.
- Ability to handle sensitive information with the highest degree of integrity and confidentiality.
- Excellent verbal and written skills. Impactful presentation style.
- Responsible and reliable. Strong interpersonal skills.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
