This position is responsible for coordinating, administering and monitoring various components of the Graduate Medical Education accreditation process while striving for continuous quality improvement as it relates to the mission of the office. This position must stay abreast of ever-changing Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME) institutional and common program requirements, Institutional policies and procedures, affiliation and program letters of agreements and other regulatory requirements. This position organizes and independently prioritizes GME office functions and related tasks to support the efforts and duties of GME leadership.
Primary Duties & Responsibilities
Graduate Medical Education Program Support

Understands, interprets, and articulates the policies of the BJH/SLCH/WUSM GME Consortium, the University, and the requirements of ACGME Common, Program, and Institutional accreditation requirements.

Serves as a liaison between faculty, staff, and trainees and the GME office to ensure understanding and compliance with accreditation requirements.

Coordinates education and training for Program Directors, faculty, residents, and GME personnel.

Serves as an effective and engaged advocate in the development of programs that recognize and promote cultural awareness. Advises GME learners with resources and opportunities in the WUSTL community and St. Louis area.

Assists with institutional orientation for new residents and fellows, institutional Patient Safety Orientations, and ACGME program site visits and Clinical Learning Environment Review (CLER) site visits.
Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME) Documentation Review and Support

Oversees initiatives and data collection pursuant to Well-Being accreditation requirements in conjunction with the Director of Wellness.

Oversees initiatives and data collection pursuant to PSQI accreditation requirements in conjunction with the Director of Patient Safety and Quality Improvement.

Analyzes and compiles institutional and program statistical data for Well-Being and PSQI initiatives.

Tracks and identifies institutional and program non-compliance and supports program progress through all phases of the accreditation cycle.
Data Management and Reporting

Compiles, tabulates and reports data for surveys, questionnaires, census reports, accreditation reports and documents required by internal and external agencies as directed by the DIO.

Uploads necessary information for database analysis tools.

Utilizes New Innovations Residency Management Software to support data collection and accreditation needs.
Program Level Short-Term Support

Provides individual program-level support at the coordinator level while the regular program coordinator is absent on an as-needed basis, and will include but is not limited to:

Assists the program director in managing the operational and administrative management of resident/fellowship training program(s)

Manages the evaluative processes of the trainees, faculty, program and rotations.

Tracks, reports and ensures compliance with procedures regarding accreditation, licensing, moonlighting, monitoring duty hours, annual contracts, onboarding, orientation and initial and re-credentialing of trainees.

Performs all Match responsibilities and corresponds with newly matched trainees about requirements and process for appointment in conjunction with the GME office and/or the division Administration office. Assists with quota review and rank list entry and certification in the National Residency Matching Program (NRMP)
Other Responsibilities

Performs other duties as assigned.
Preferred Qualifications

Tow or more years as a GME program coordinator.

TAGME certification.
-
Software experience with New Innovations, ERAS, NRMP and ACGME WebADS.
Bachelor's degree with three years of related experience or equivalent education and experience.

$48,700.00 - $80,500.00 / Annually
The salary range reflects base salaries paid for positions in a given job grade across the University. Individual rates within the range will be determined by factors including one's qualifications and performance, equity with others in the department, market rates for positions within the same grade and department budget.
