Overview:
Luce Line Brewing Co. is seeking a dynamic and experienced General Manager to join our team as we continue to grow. Our vision is to make all Minnesotans’ life better over a pint of Luce Line Beer or Seltzer. LLB is both the living room for local beer drinkers and a destination for cyclists, beer nerds and seekers of great beer. Our diverse base of customers appreciates the quality of our beer, friendly staff, and how fun and comfortable our brewery is. Job Responsibilities:
Operational Management
- Oversee all operational activities of the taproom, merchandise, and both on and off-site events.
- Manage staff to standard operating procedures (SOPs) to ensure efficient workflows and consistent quality.
- Monitor and analyze key performance indicators, such as sales, food and supply costs, labor costs, and customer satisfaction, to celebrate successes, as well as identify areas for improvement and take appropriate actions.
- Collaborate with vendors to ensure timely delivery of supplies.
- Ensure compliance with regulations and licensing requirements.
- Maintain equipment functionality by scheduling and facilitating maintenance and repairs.
Customer Service & Guest Experience
- Ensure exceptional customer service by actively engaging with customers, setting service standards, monitoring customer feedback, and implementing improvement initiatives when needed.
- Address customer concerns or complaints promptly and take appropriate actions to resolve issues to maintain customer satisfaction.
- Implement strategies to enhance the overall guest experience, including personalized service, ambiance, and customer engagement.
- Regularly review and update the food and event offerings to meet customer preferences and market trends.
- Support service when needed.
Team Leadership
- Recruit, hire, train, and supervise front of house employees.
- Foster a positive and collaborative work environment, promoting teamwork, effective communication, and a strong work ethic.
- Organize, supervise, and execute shifts to ensure adequate coverage during peak hours while effectively managing labor costs.
Staff Training & Development.
- Provide training and development opportunities for existing staff to enhance their skills, knowledge, performance, and ensure service standards.
- Conduct regular performance evaluations, set performance goals, provide constructive feedback, and provide ongoing professional development opportunities.
Financial Management & Business Development
- Collaborate with the management team to develop and manage the brewery’s budget, including revenue forecasting, cost control, and expense management.
- Analyze sales data and key performance indicators to identify areas for improvement and implement strategies to increase profitability.
- Manage inventory levels and control costs to maximize profitability.
- Conduct regular financial analysis, such as sales reports, profit and loss statements, and inventory management, to make data-driven decisions and achieve financial objectives.
- Monitor market trends, competition, and customer preferences to identify opportunities for business growth and improvement.
Qualifications:
- A college degree in hospitality is preferred but not required.
- Previous Experience as a General Manager is required.
- Dynamic self-starter who is inspirational, organized, and detail oriented.
- Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop a diverse team to achieve set goals and maintain high standards.
- Strong financial understanding and experience in budgeting, cost control, and financial analysis.
- Professional demeanor and presentation.
- Knowledge of regulations and safety standards.
- Flexibility to work during evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Physical Demands: Ability to stand and walk for long periods, lift, push, and pull up to 30 pounds, withstand exposure to hot cooking equipment, and work in a moderately loud environment.
