Harrison Surgery Center, a state-of-the-art ambulatory surgery center specializing in ophthalmology, is seeking a highly qualified Registered Nurse to join our team. Responsibilities:
- Assess and monitor patients before, during, and after surgery
- Assist the physician during procedures
- Prepare patients for surgery, including taking vitals and verifying patient information
- Monitor and maintain patient safety and comfort
- Provide patient education and discharge instructions
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure quality patient care
- Document patient information accurately and timely
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives
Requirements:
- Current licensure as a Registered Nurse in the state of Arkansas
- Minimum of 1 year of clinical nursing experience, preferably in a surgical setting
- Knowledge of ophthalmology procedures and terminology
- Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment
- BLS and ACLS certification required
