Position Purpose: Assist in pre-season, mid-season, and ongoing training for ODP instructors, conduct skills assessments, observations and audits on ODP instructors, provide feedback and coaching for ODP Instructors, role model effective instruction, and mentor ODP Instructors when leading ODP programs. Manage staff requirements and scheduled events when assigned by the local ODP Leader.
Responsibilities:
Promote to new, and retain all customers
Inspire people to engage in new outdoor activities
Assists ODP leaders with skills assessments and training
Performs Instructor Observations and Program Audits; provides regular and timely coaching and feedback to instructors
Completes Instructor Observation Form/Program Audit Form following SOP
Caps course capacity as assigned by ODP Leader
Cancels instructors from the schedule as assigned by ODP Leader
Instructs courses and role models the responsibilities outlined in the ODP Instructor job description as follows:

Education Level: 2-Year Associates Degree or 2 Years Relevant Experience
Years of Experience: 2+
Skills and Qualifications:
Mastery of relevant technical skills in ODP activities and working knowledge specific to local market
Demonstrated excellent teaching skills.
Experience leading trainings for outdoor professionals
Proven experience planning, organizing and leading outdoor trips
Proven leadership skills with the ability to develop and motivate participants
Ability to maintain a high level of enthusiasm, motivation and a positive attitude
Established time management and organization skills
Demonstrated successful working relationships with peers and management staff.
Experience coaching, mentoring and providing feedback
Strong interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills
Takes own initiative, working independently in a leadership role
Strong knowledge of technical gear used in activities
Ability to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends and holidays
Certified in Basic First Aid or above and CPR, additional certifications as relevant
Demonstrated ability to successfully resolve customer service issues
