SUMMARY
Process control inspector will verify product flow for raw and cooked product, monitoring yields and perform checks for product appearance and compare current product vs. specs, if product deviates then will make recommendations to management regarding changes on the product.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The essential duties for this job include the following but other duties may be assigned.
- Process Control Inspector will verify current product running against schedule and will notify management or designee for any discrepancies. o Must fill process control sheet every fifteen minutes. o Will communicate with oven operator to get five samples of raw weights for all lines running. o Inspector will weigh five samples of cook product from all lines and record on form. o If any discrepancies are found then inspector will communicate to oven operator and RTE supervisor or designee of findings. o Yields will have to be recorded on the form; cook weights will be divided by raw weights. Target yield is 85% or better if current yields are lower than target then supervisor or designee will be informed.
- Product appearance must meet customer requirements. o Compare cooked product against specifications. o Links or patties coming out of the oven will be measured and recorded. All product will be compared vs. customer specs, if deficiencies are found then notify supervisor or designee. o Finish good product temperatures will be recorded when exiting the freezers, weight appearance “straight or fluffy” if deficiencies are found then notify supervisor or designee.
- When a deviation is found the following steps will be implemented. o Supervisor or designee will be informed for both sides (raw and cooked). o Deviation will be recorded and a corrective action will be taken to prevent future deviations.
- Follow up to a corrective action will be performed and monitored every ten minutes. o If corrective action does not take place or is not effective then RTE manager needs to be informed immediately.
