Position Overview:
We are currently seeking a highly motivated and experienced Assistant General Manager (AGM) for our SpringHill Suites Houston Westchase. The ideal candidate will possess Marriott experience, demonstrating a deep understanding of Marriott standards and procedures. This position is designed for an individual who is ready to take the next step in their career and assume the role of a General Manager with a specific focus on Sales within the hospitality industry.
Responsibilities:
Operational Excellence:
Oversee day-to-day operations of the hotel, ensuring adherence to Marriott standards.
Collaborate with department heads to optimize guest satisfaction and operational efficiency.
Guest Relations:
Foster a culture of exceptional guest service, ensuring positive experiences for all guests.
Respond promptly and effectively to guest concerns, aiming for swift resolution.
Sales and Corporate Meetings:
Develop and implement strategies to drive sales growth, particularly with Groups, Corporate clients, and Corporate meetings.
Establish and maintain strong relationships with corporate clients and group organizers.
Collaborate with the Sales and Marketing team to create and execute targeted sales plans.
Leadership Development:
Mentor and guide team members, fostering a positive and growth-oriented work environment.
Collaborate with the General Manager to identify and develop high-potential talent.
Financial Management:
Assist in budget planning and financial management to meet and exceed revenue targets.
Monitor and control operational expenses to maximize profitability.
Marriott Standards:
Ensure strict adherence to Marriott brand standards and guidelines.
Stay updated on Marriott policies and procedures to implement best practices.
Training and Development:
Conduct regular training sessions for staff, with a particular emphasis on Sales and Corporate meeting planning.
Support ongoing training initiatives to ensure team members are up-to-date with Marriott standards.
Qualifications:
Previous experience in a leadership role within a Marriott property is essential.
Proven track record of success in hotel operations, guest satisfaction, and sales growth.
Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Results-driven with a focus on achieving and exceeding sales goals.
Flexibility to adapt to a dynamic and evolving work environment.
