Job Summary:
We are seeking motivated and detail-oriented Business Development Interns to join our team. Interns will assist in identifying and pursuing new business opportunities within the government contracting space. This role offers valuable hands-on experience in market research, proposal development, and lead generation. It is a training program designed for college students to gain experience and academic credit (no money initially, with potential for paid opportunities upon successful completion of the training). Interns must register for an internship course (for credit or zero credit) to meet academic requirements. After the 3-4 month training program, qualified candidates may be offered paid full-time or part-time positions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Market Research: Conduct research to identify potential government contracts and business opportunities.
- Lead Generation: Assist in identifying and qualifying new business leads. Communicate with suppliers to gather and collect pricing information for specific products.
- Price Comparison: Compare prices provided by various suppliers to identify the best out-of-pocket prices from reliable sources, considering shipping costs, credit card processing fees, and other associated expenses.
- Strategic Analysis: Contribute to the development of business strategies and plans. Provide insights and recommendations based on research findings.
- Administrative Support: Perform various administrative tasks to support the business development team, including data entry, document management, and scheduling.
Qualifications:
- Currently pursuing a bachelor degree at school.
- Strong interest in business development.
- Good sense of cost-saving.
- Excellent research, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
- Self-motivated, proactive, and able to work independently as well as part of a team.
