Job Summary: We are looking for an Accounting Specialist with expertise in QuickBooks and Excel to manage our financial records and ensure our financial operations run smoothly. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting and financial management, be highly organized, and possess excellent analytical skills.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage day-to-day accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger entries.
- Prepare and maintain accurate financial records and reports using QuickBooks.
- Perform regular reconciliations of bank accounts, credit card statements, and other financial accounts.
- Develop and maintain financial models and spreadsheets using Excel to support business decisions.
- Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
- Coordinate with the HR department to manage payroll processing and related accounting entries.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local financial legal requirements by studying existing and new legislation, enforcing adherence to requirements, and advising management on needed actions.
- Support the preparation of tax returns and other financial documentation.
- Conduct internal audits to ensure accuracy and compliance with internal policies and procedures.
- Collaborate with other departments to support overall company goals and objectives.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in accounting or a related role.
- Proficiency in QuickBooks and Microsoft Excel.
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Experience with financial reporting and analysis.
