Requirements to Join Southeastern:
- **Education:** High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
- **Citizenship:** United States citizenship is a prerequisite.
- **Training:** Successful completion of basic law enforcement training, possessing an NC Basic Law Enforcement Training Certificate (BLET), or an equivalent combination of education and experience Certified as a Law enforcement officer by another state, or Military Police .
- **Character Evaluation:** Good moral character verified through a thorough background investigation.
- **Evaluation Process:** Candidates must pass an oral interview, psychological examination, medical evaluation, and drug screening.
- **Experience:** Minimum of 1-year full-time law enforcement experience is required.
- **Firearm Qualification:** Ability to qualify for a minimum of 80 with an agency-approved firearm.
- **Driver’s License:** With a good driving history

- Supervisor (s): A proven track record of supervising police officers
