This is a full-time exempt position and receives all benefits afforded to regular employees.

Summary: Reporting to the Assistant County Manager, the Community Development Director is responsible for direct operations and activities of the Community Development Department, including Building Permitting and Inspections, Code Enforcement, Development Review Management, and Planning & Zoning sections.

Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Planning, Public Administration, or closely related field; Master’s degree preferred; supplemented by seven (7) years previous experience and/or training that includes progressively responsible planning, project management, program administration, or a related experience; or any equivalent combination of education, training, and experience which provides the requisite knowledge, skills, and abilities for this job. Must possess and maintain a valid driver’s license.
Compensation: Salary is commensurate with experience within the hiring range of $101,296 - $111,425. Placement within the range will be based upon the selected candidate’s qualifications. In addition to a competitive salary, Glynn County offers an excellent benefits package including:
