Premier Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery, PLLC is looking for an experienced, part-time Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant. Our practice is rapidly expanding and this position will start as part-time, with the potential to become a full-time permanent position.
We are looking for someone who is adaptable, maintains flexibility and is able to manage multiple patients in multiple settings, OR, clinic and inpatient. The provider will be responsible for seeing consults, managing outpatients and providing care that meets
The provider assumes responsibility and accountability for health promotion and maintenance including the prescribing pharmacologic and non-pharmacologic interventions all with MD oversight.
*Key Responsibilities: *
Administrative
1. Maintain medical records using EHR and timely completion of all notes.
2. Work closely with clinic staff and billing associates.
3. Complete Disability Forms
4. Initiate scheduling of OR cases
5. Arrange hospital admissions from clinic and from the OR
6. Assist with approval of referrals for clinic and OR
7. Follow appropriate legal and ethical conduct, maintain professionalism
8. Help develop, implement and maintain protocols and guidelines for patient care
Clinical
1. Complete all history and physicals for adults and pediatricians, record in EHR
2. Provide patient education regarding office visit policies, diagnosis, treatment plans, medications, activity, wound care and diet, ect.
3. Prepare for and perform patient exams, order routine test, labs, cultures, imaging and perform small office procedures. Alert and update MD of any changes or issues.
4. Assist MD with exams and minor office procedures
5. Educate and guide patients for preop-testing, preop labs and imaging
6. Coordinate patients to see outside referrals, i.e. other MD, therapist
7. Perform inpatient skin biopsies
8. Practice OSHA safety standards
9. Perform accurate, legal and ethical documentation at all times
10. Help prepare for and attend special functions related to marketing the practice
11. Prepare paperwork for preop and postop patients (check and witness consents, verify labs etc.)
12. Monitor an record all follow-up labs, drain outputs. Order speciality beds
13. Work with hospital administrator to update all EHR ordersets
13. Manage patient care and flow of patients throughout the hospital process
14. Attend weekly staffing meetings and special collaboration meetings to improve care
*Required Education & Training: *
· Current unencumbered State of Texas Medical Practitioner License.
· Board certification
· Current and unrestricted DEA license.
*The ideal candidate will be/have: *
Experience with Electronic Medical Record systems.
Ability to work without direct supervision and practice autonomously, with MD oversight and collaboration
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Ability to work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals as needed.
