The Application/Systems Analyst will support and maintain services on an interface between software solutions. The successful candidate should be a self-starter who can manage daily routine operations and maintenance and communicate status and issues.
Position Responsibilities:
- Gather data regarding performance
- Study the consumption of system resources and be able to detect problems with software applications.
- Routinely review logs and perform manual health checks on the servers
- Provide updates to the interface middleware components to stay current with approved technologies as required to resolve break/fix issues or security scan findings
- Develop and test interface updates in the corporate environment before implementing in production environment
- Conduct regression testing to ensure interface functionality is not impacted for tri-annual software releases
- Coordinate and collaborate test events with the customer
- Document test results
- Update software source code repository
- Maintain and update the version description document/release notes
- Update the interface control document as needed
- Update the production Operations Manual (POM) and Interface user guide (as needed)
- Provide help desk support services responding to trouble tickets to meet SLAs
- Provide input and data to the help desk status report
Hands on experience with Maximo (IBM asset management system) [highly desired]- Java, Python, .NET software languages – API coding and testing
- Familiarity with Service Oriented Architecture (SOA)
- Experience with Mule Enterprise Service Bus (ESB) or other ESB
- Experience with Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL)
- Experience maintaining system interfaces
- Familiarity with IT ticketing systems
- Understanding of real time location system services a plus
- Exceptional client service and personal communication skills with a demonstrated ability to write clearly and effectively
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and thrive in an environment of change
- Ability to work as part of a team or independently.
- Previous knowledge of the VA environment a plus
- Experience developing technical documents and guidance
- Ability to obtain a government security clearance
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or Cyber Security
- 5 years of experience
