The Clerk of the Circuit Court is a constitutional officer, and the duties of this office are mandated by the Code of Virginia. The Clerk's Office provides multiple statutory and local services for residents, business professionals, legal professionals, judges, public safety officials, a variety of state and local government agencies, and the towns of Loudoun County. The Clerk of the Circuit Court serves as the recorder of deeds and probate judge, issues marriage licenses and is the official court administrator for all civil and criminal court cases. In this latter capacity, the Clerk creates and maintains all court files and records, prepares court orders and jury lists, contacts jurors and issues summons and court processes.
The Clerk of the Circuit Court is seeking qualified applicants for an IT Technician II to administer system controls for the Virginia Supreme Court Case Management System, Financial Management System, Land Records Recordation, Image Retention and Public Access System, Officer of the Court Remote Access System, Land Records Secure Remote Access System, Jury Management System, and Case Imaging System for all divisions within the Clerk's office and the Judge’s Chambers.
Job responsibilities include but are not limited to:

Liaison for the County and State DIT staff with respect to the maintenance and inventory of computers and computer equipment and Xerox copy machines.

Point of contact for remote access account customers responding to general questions and trouble-shooting IT related issues.

Provide first-level support for video conferencing, evidence presentation, and digital docketing in the Court Complex.

Advise the IT Manager, Civil and Land Records Manager regarding development and implementation of E-filing system.

Provide written progress reports to the Clerk and the Chief Deputies and Supervisor on a regular basis.

Monitor and advocate staff compliance with the County Internet, E-mail and phone policies

Conduct feasibility and cost comparison studies related to the purchase and installation of new systems or technical equipment.

Develop and execute long range plans including technical and conceptual direction for the development, enhancement and evolution of the office automated systems.

Ensure users follow Security Awareness training procedures.

Manage overall operations of all Clerks Office websites, ensuring that all division websites are current and accurate.

Works with County DIT team to properly implement network, server, software, hardware and other program changes with information and document retention systems.
Hiring salary is commensurate with experience.
High School diploma or equivalent (Associate degree preferred); four (4) years of related technical experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
The following certifications are preferred but not required; CompTIA, Microsoft 365 Certification, Microsoft Power Platform, MS SQL, Azure Administrator Associate, Azure Solutions Architect Associate, or Azure Security Engineer Associate.
