The Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS) provides quality ultrasound exams under the direction of a physician and quality patient care in the daily operations according to Cooper’s vision, values, for the Cooper Clinic in Dallas, TX. Requirements:
Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer - Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Performing all Ultrasound exams under the direction of a physician

Reviewing all prior studies or reports for returning patients
-
Assisting other Imaging staff in managing the Ultrasound schedule
-
Performs diagnostic procedures in accordance with accepted protocols as directed by the Radiologists.

Instruct patients on preparation and positions to ensure cooperation and optimal images.
-
Follow safety standards in operating equipment.
-
Maintain ultrasound equipment in appropriate operating condition.
-
Order and stock all ultrasound supplies when needed.
-
Send images to PACS and discuss the study with the radiologist.

Knowledge of cross-sectional anatomy and physiology.

Knowledge of common safety hazards and precautions to establish a safe work environment.
-
Adheres to all policies and procedures for safety, attendance, and personal appearance. Maintains a positive attitude and adheres to the Cooper purpose and core values.

Performs duties on site with consistent, regular, and reliable attendance.

Complies with all Cooper and Client policies.

Accomplishes other duties as assigned.
Requirements
The ideal Sonographer candidate will possess:
-
Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer Licensure (RDMS) in at least Abdomen and/or OB/Gyn –required
-
Must have experience in Abdomen, Gyn, Vascular, and Breast - required
-
Minimum three years preferred.
-
Registered Vascular Technician (RVT)- preferred, but not required
-
CPR, First Aid, and AED certifications- preferred.
-
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
-
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.

Exceptional interpersonal and customer service skills.
-
Outstanding organizational and leadership skills.
-
Strong analytical ability and work ethic.
-
Possess problem-solving skills, be self-motivated and strive for professionalism.

Sound organizational, time management and attention to detail skills.
-
Must be able to lift up to and move up to 25 pounds.
-
Occasionally lift and /or move up to 100 pounds.
-
Frequently required to sit, stand, and walk at work site.
