The Procurement Administrative Specialist Temp will work closely with the Manger and Buyers/Associate Buyers (Food and Non-Food) learning and assisting in all roles. This is an entry level opportunity that will develop strong collaboration, negotiation, sourcing, buying and applied business skills. Key objectives of this position are to serve as a liaison between the suppliers and the internal operations such as Design, Merchandising, Accounting, Transportation and Production. This role will work with our current suppliers to resolve issues manage purchases. In addition, this role will assist in identifying and qualifying new potential suppliers to bring into the DesignPac vendor portfolio. This role has an indirect impact on profitability through improving supplier performance and cost management.
- Track orders and communicate and update delivery timing expectations
- Source and build relationships with new qualified suppliers
- Work on strategic projects with suppliers as directed by Manager and Buyers
- Work with Quality Control and suppliers on inspections, supplier compliance management and issue resolution
- Work with Accounts Payable and suppliers to resolve chargebacks, invoice discrepancies and purchase order maintenance.
- Collaborate with various departments: Logistics, Sales, Product Development, Quality Assurance, Production, Finance, Ecommerce, Structural Department, and Design team
- Negotiate, gather, and maintain product cost quotes into Product Lifecycle Management System
- Work with the logistic department on incoming truck, ocean, and air shipments
- Assist in preparing purchase orders for assigned product categories
- Audit Bill of Materials for sold gifts for changes and completion
- Manage Samples, revisions, according to detailed specifications as per designer's needs
Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree required or +2 years equivalent experience
- Analytical and comfortable with numbers
- Work autonomously and address problems in a structured, logical manner
- Proficient with MSOffice, MS Excel and have working knowledge of MS Power Point
- Proficient with Outlook and Word
- Proficiency with MS Access is a plus

- Previous Office experience
- Data entry experience/capability
