Responsibilities:
- Perform diagnostic evaluations of patients' hearing and balance disorders
- Conduct comprehensive audiological assessments, including pure-tone audiometry, speech audiometry, and immittance testing
- Interpret test results and provide appropriate recommendations for treatment or further evaluation
- Fit and dispense hearing aids and assistive listening devices
- Provide counseling and education to patients and their families regarding hearing loss, communication strategies, and hearing conservation
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to develop comprehensive treatment plans for patients
- Stay up-to-date with advancements in audiology research and technology
Experience:
- Doctoral degree in Audiology (Au.D.) from an accredited university program
- State licensure or eligibility for licensure as an Audiologist
- Strong knowledge of hearing testing, hearing aids, vestibular testing, OAEs, ABR, APD, tinnitus assessments and treatment. Experience with programming cochlear implants a plus.
- Proficiency in conducting diagnostic evaluations using specialized equipment and software
- Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with patients of all ages and backgrounds
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a multidisciplinary team
