POSITION SUMMARY
Coordinates and manages financial operations for the Community. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: ensuring the proper implementation of sound internal controls; interfacing with the Executive Director and the Department Managers to effectively manage the budget and help identify financial areas which may need attention; identify and implement procedures which will enhance the fiscal operations of the Community; generation and maintenance of accurate financial statements and accounting records.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

- Prepare and monitor all monthly billing and collection processes utilizing established policies, procedures, and tracking systems.
- Ensure timely and accurate invoicing and collections to maintain positive cash flow.
- Oversee cash controls, including the depositing and posting of cash receipts.
- Implement and monitor controls over petty cash to ensure compliance and accuracy.
- Maintain daily cashbooks for operational accounts and prepare monthly bank reconciliations, to be reviewed monthly by GCI Management Services, Inc.
- Ensure all financial transactions are accurately recorded and documented.
- Monitor and oversee the processing of accounts payable.
- Ensure appropriate assignment of departmental expenses with supporting documentation.
- Coordinate the payment of insurance, real estate taxes, and related reporting requirements.
- Prepare and submit monthly sales tax reports and payments.
- Prepare and enter journal entries, maintaining appropriate sub-schedules for Balance Sheet accounts.
- Process the monthly financial statements and prepare management reports.
- Assist the Executive Director and GCI Management Services, Inc. in preparing a monthly operations and financial analysis package for the sponsor and the Board of Directors.
- Conduct thorough financial analysis to support decision-making and strategic planning.
- Assist in the preparation of the annual financial budget, annual audit schedules, tax reports, and any state-required reports.
- Provide detailed analysis and support during budget reviews and audits.
- Maintain resident, vendor, and financial accounting files in an organized and accessible manner.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Supervisor to support the overall financial health and operational efficiency of the community.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
Directly supervises employees in the Business Office. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees.

Educational Requirements and Experience:
- Associates or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting or financial management, preferably in a senior living or healthcare environment.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Language Ability:
- Ability to communicate effectively in writing and verbally in the primary language of the residents.
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret common scientific and technical journals, financial reports, and legal documents. Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community.
- Ability to effectively present information to top management, public groups, and/or boards of directors.
- Mathematical Skills:
- Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid.
- Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
- Cognitive Demands:
- Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
- Computer Skills:
- Ability to use Microsoft Windows, including Word and Excel. Ability to use email and the Internet. Ability to use accounting and payroll software.

- Possible high stress levels in relation to working under deadlines and within budget constraints.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $75,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year
