St. Louis Catholic School in Alexandria, VA has an opening for an Assistant Principal for the 2024-2025 academic year. The ideal candidate for this position is a practicing Catholic who is passionate about their faith, has strong leadership skills and is committed to creating a positive school environment where students can deepen their relationship with God. The Assistant Principal needs to be able to build rapport with students, faculty, parents, and community members to further advance the mission of St. Louis (PreK - 8th).
The duties of this position include:

Overseeing and maintaining a safe and respectful school environment

Implementing and evaluating the school safety plan

Managing student discipline and addressing behaviors

Maintaining appropriate school records

Implementing policies and procedures in accordance with the St. Louis student handbook and policy manuals

Working closely with other members of the leadership team to evaluate, develop, and revise school policies and procedures

Maintaining a visible presence on campus during both the school day and at after school events
-
Supporting the mission and vision of St. Louis Catholic School

Fulfilling other duties as assigned, including possible teaching duties
Candidates for this position must have an earned Master's degree in Educational Leadership or closely related field, be a practicing Catholic, and ideally have 3-5 years experience teaching in a Catholic school, proficient in PowerSchool, and possess strong communication skills.
