We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Ultrasound Instructor to join our team of healthcare educators. As an Ultrasound Instructor, you will play a crucial role in preparing aspiring sonographers and vascular technologists for successful careers in the field of diagnostic medical sonography. Your expertise and passion for teaching will contribute to the development of future healthcare professionals.
Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver effective classroom and hands-on instruction in diagnostic medical sonography techniques and procedures.
- Develop and update curriculum materials, lesson plans, and assessments to ensure relevance and compliance with industry standards.
- Provide guidance, mentorship, and feedback to students during clinical rotations.
- Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment that encourages student engagement and success.
- Stay current with advancements in ultrasound technology and teaching methodologies.
- Collaborate with colleagues to contribute to program improvement and accreditation efforts.
- Participate in faculty meetings, professional development, and other departmental activities as required.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in a related field (e.g., diagnostic medical sonography, healthcare education).
- Certification in diagnostic medical sonography (e.g., RDMS, RVT, RDCS) from a recognized certifying body (ARDMS, CCI, etc.).
- Several years of clinical experience as a diagnostic medical sonographer or vascular technologist.
- Previous teaching or training experience, preferably in a healthcare education setting.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
- Familiarity with healthcare regulations and accreditation standards.
