**Job Summary:**
As a Tropical Smoothie Cafe employee, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional customer service, preparing and serving a variety of smoothies, sandwiches, wraps, and other menu items in a fast-paced environment. You will also be tasked with maintaining cleanliness and organization within the cafe.
**Key Responsibilities:**
1. **Customer Service:**
- Greet customers warmly as they enter the cafe.
- Assist customers in choosing menu items and provide recommendations.
- Take customer orders accurately and efficiently.
- Handle customer inquiries and complaints in a professional manner, resolving issues promptly.
2. **Food Preparation:**
- Prepare smoothies, juices, sandwiches, wraps, and other menu items according to Tropical Smoothie Cafe recipes and standards.
- Ensure proper portioning and presentation of all food and beverage items.
- Follow food safety and hygiene procedures at all times to maintain quality and safety standards.
3. **Cafe Maintenance:**
- Maintain cleanliness and tidiness throughout the cafe, including the dining area, kitchen, and restroom facilities.
- Monitor and restock supplies as needed, including ingredients, utensils, and paper goods.
- Perform routine cleaning tasks such as sweeping, mopping, and wiping down surfaces.
4. **Team Collaboration:**
- Work collaboratively with other team members to ensure smooth operations during peak hours.
- Communicate effectively with colleagues and managers to coordinate tasks and provide support as needed.
- Contribute to a positive work environment by demonstrating teamwork and a positive attitude.
5. **Compliance and Safety:**
- Adhere to all company policies and procedures, including food safety guidelines and cash handling protocols.
- Maintain a safe and sanitary work environment by following health and safety regulations.
- Attend training sessions and meetings as required to stay updated on company policies and procedures.
**Qualifications:**
- Previous experience in food service or customer service preferred, but not required.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions.
- Basic math skills for cash handling and order processing.
- Willingness to learn and adapt to new tasks and responsibilities.
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $11.00 - $14.00 per hour
Expected hours: 20 – 35 per week
