Virginia HealthCare Services is seeking an experienced_ Intake and Staffing Coordinator_ to join our team.
We are a Medicare certified skilled home health agency that has been in practice since 2005. Our services include skilled nursing, physical therapy, occupational therapy, speech therapy, and medical social work. We are dedicated to providing the highest quality of care for our patients.
Job Summary:
The Intake and Staffing Coordinator is familiar with home health care and committed to service the community. The duties of the Intake & Staffing Coordinator include but are not limited to assigning patient referrals and scheduling patient visits.
Qualifications:
- High School Graduate
- Familiarity with home health care and medical terminology
- Previous experience in home health care intake and staffing
- Excellent Time Management Skills
- Excellent telephone etiquette
Responsibilities:
- Receiving referrals via telephone, fax, or e-mail
- Ensuring that the agency has all pertinent information from referral sources
- Accurately entering patient information, including insurance-related information, into Kinnser
- Calling new clients to verify address, telephone number, and any unique aspects related to the residence of the client (e.g., a gated community), in addition to providing a summary of services to be provided and an approximate date of discharge
- Staffing home health cases initially and as services are ordered after the start of care
- Staffing appropriate clinician(s) for new patients or added services
- Informing appropriate staff, on a need-to-know and strictly confidential basis, of the hospitalization or death of a patient
- Forwarding time sheets of clinicians to the Payroll Division of the Finance Department
