DSHS BHA Registered Nurse 4 - Steilacoom Competency Restoration Program
We’re looking to hire a Nurse Manager for the Steilacoom Competency Restoration Program (SCRP). You will report to the Chief Medical Officer, and collaborate with both the Clinical Services Manager and Program Director. You plan and direct all nursing functions in assigned area in accordance with SCRP, OFMHS, and DOH standards to ensure consistent patient care delivery.
The schedule may vary in order to meet managerial and clinical hospital needs.
Evening and Night shifts include a shift differential in addition to the standard compensation rate.
Opportunities performed on-site at this work location at least three days a week may be eligible for an additional 5% premium pay in addition to the advertised salary. Free ORCA cards are available for Pierce County employees.
Some of what you’ll do

Plan and direct all nursing functions in assigned areas in accordance with Nursing procedures, OFMHA policies and procedures, and Washington State Administrative Codes to assure consistent patient care delivery in a Residential Facility environment

Ensure compliance with professional nursing standards, State and federal laws

Perform key leadership functions for nursing personnel

Communicate with all levels of the hospital who assist in management and conflict resolution, building trust and collaborative relationships, with a focus on patient-centered care

Interpret nursing care standards and hospital policies to the nursing team and multidisciplinary team; articulate hospital and nursing vision, providing information to nursing employees on changes in standards and policies

Ensure all nursing documentation is in compliance with standards, treatment plans, progress notes, and assessments

Evaluate the patient care delivery system utilizing evidence-based practices and patient safety considerations

Respond to and formulate reports and ensure compliance with nursing documentation

Complete employee evaluations and audits; direct, motivate, interview, and provide corrective action for employees; investigate staff/patient complaints
Who should apply
Licensed Washington State RNs who have:
Graduated from an accredited school of professional nursing and have at least 4 years of professional nursing experience, including 2 years in a lead capacity over other nursing personnel.
Note: A bachelor's degree or higher degree involving a major study in nursing may be substituted for 2 years of nonsupervisory experience. One year of full-time experience teaching nursing may be substituted for one year of supervisory experience.
