We are looking for a full-time Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner to join our clinic in Boston. In this role, you will:
- Assist physicians and other medical providers during Stellate Ganglion Block procedures and ketamine infusions for the symptoms of anxiety, PTSD, and depression
- Administer esketamine treatments (Spravato) and post treatment monitoring under the guidance of Stella’s Chief Psychiatrist
- Map and treat patients with TMS under the guidance of Chief Psychiatrist
- Medication management for select patients
- Assess and monitor patients' status pre and post-procedure by taking vitals and following treatment protocols
- Assist in overseeing our clinical office operations, staffing and schedules;
- Work closely with the teams in other clinics and telehealth clinicians to create and enforce best practices
- Ensure clinical protocols are being followed
- Provide a seamless and supportive experience to our patients and their loved ones
- Contribute to our continuous improvement and growth of the Boston location
- Deliver remote medical, biopsychosocial assessments and intake sessions to prospective patients who have experienced trauma and/or are diagnosed with PTSD or a severe depressive disorder to determine appropriate treatment options
- Deliver remote integration therapy sessions after treatments that have been administered in the clinic
- Conduct interviews with patients and, sometimes, relatives or those close to the patient to gather historical context
- Educate prospective patients on the nature of their trauma symptoms, the ideal treatment plan for them, and the treatment options within that plan that are offered by Stella
- Consult with Chief Psychiatrist, VP of Clinical Services and Patient Care Team to design appropriate care plan
- Assist in building patient charts via collecting medical history and documenting contraindications to treatment
- Maintain patient confidentiality and accurate documentation of patient treatments
- Assist in the refinement of our care delivery model in partnership with our medical board and operations team
- Respond to patient escalations and execute our crisis protocols as needed
- Remain accountable to specific daily, weekly, and monthly KPIs related to patient satisfaction and clinical outcomes while meeting patient demand
- Maintain an unwavering dedication to the Stella mission, brand, and messaging across all touchpoints with patients
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Be an active Nurse Practitioner license in good standing in state of Massachusetts (additional licensure is a plus)
- Requiring supervision is acceptable
- 2+ years of healthcare experience working as an RN
- Electronic Medical Record (EMR) experience
- Ability to maintain patient confidentiality and process information in a confidential manner
- Ability to collaborate and communicate with members of an interdisciplinary care team
- Effective problem-solving and prioritization skills
- Previous experience in a clinical setting (ketamine infusion experience, Spravato experience or TMS experience is a plus)
- Strong skills in patient care, assessment, and monitoring
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, prioritize multiple requests and responsibilities, and learn new proprietary systems quickly
- Willingness to obtain active unrestricted license in other states as needed
- Ability to work independently
