Overview
We are seeking a responsible individual to join our team at Zia Family Focus Center. As an Assistant Director, you will play a vital role in providing support to students and staff. Zia Family Focus center specializes in providing a creative, fun environment for kids of differing age groups to come together, socialize, learn and interact in a spontaneous and enjoyable way. Responsibilities
Assist the ZFFC Director as necessary.
Work closely with the Director in maintaining facility and overseeing teaching staff
Design print materials to promote camps, events and classes. Created class schedules each semester, and collaborate with Director and instructors to implement new classes. Update and maintain ZFFC website including posting new schedules and registration forms.
Register students for classes, camps and other activities.
Collect payments, manage and create a student payment record and database. Accept and record payments. Send invoices and tax letters.
Act as a liaison between parents, instructors and Director.
Coordinate, schedule, and co-manage instructors and volunteers.
Assist in conceptualizing and co-managing fundraising events in addition to classes and camps.
Maintain a high level of communication and energy with children, parents, instructors, volunteers and staff.
Ensure the safety of the children at all times by monitoring their needs and activities, and maintaining
Assist Director with managing a materials expense database for supplies.
Act as a bridge between parents and Director. Also between instructors and Director, If necessary.
Assist Program Assistant and Director as necessary, including with community events.
Assist instructors in managing behavioral issues with students. And maintaining a record of behavior an injury reports
May be required to take over a class for an absent teacher, or assist an instructor.
Help maintain office and office supplies.
Occasional other duties as assigned.
Expectations:
Arrive to work on time and prepared for the day.
Maintain a high level of communication and energy with children, parents, ZFFC staff, and other visitors.
Ensure the safety of the children at all times, by monitoring their needs and activities.
Dress appropriately and comfortably for an active day with children.
Experience
To be successful in this role, you should have:
- Previous experience in daycare, childcare, or school settings
- Great organizational, office and computer skills
- Detail oriented
- Ability to complete tasks autonomously
- Classroom management skills
- Knowledge of child development principles and practices
- First aid certification is preferred
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour
