The System Test Engineer –Vehicle Test Engineer is responsible for interfacing with multiple stakeholders to understand product requirements at Vehicle level Testing to confirm that customer products are tested thoroughly to meet global quality standards.
- Reports to Vehicle Test Supervisor
- Plan and coordinate with System Test Manager and cross functional teams to identify and resolve issues quickly within the team project organization. Escalate where necessary for communication of issues, requests for assistance, and unexpected situations
- Proven Work with requirements engineers for Requirement Analyzis and updates to write test cases specification and Vehicle test procedures
- Perform Vehicle test cases for different ADAS Features at Low and High speed to evaluate different sensors and cameras functionality and performance (Proven)
- Maintains documentation of test results to assist in debugging and modification of software.
- Perform Defect reports, reproduce and verification
- Responds to stakeholder inquiries concerning Vehicle Test solution and issues.
- Provide vehicle test report to internal Program Team
- Analyzes test results to ensure existing functionality and recommends corrective action.
- Work with Vehicle instrumentation team to define equipment and sensors installation, as well as Test environment and Tools requirements to perform Vehicle Test and collect Logs
- Oversees and supports life cycle engineering activities using defined processes and standards.
- Participates in internal and external technical reviews, as required.
- Actively pursues cost saving ideas for Vehicle Test.
- Will be responsible for following GPEP/ME-PDP process for work product deliverables
- Ensures compliance to Company procedures (e.g. Process - Work Instructions) and applicable standards (e.g. ISO/TS 16949, ISO/IEC TR 15504).
- As per program, ECU flashing and Sanity checks at Bench
- Level 1,2 & Trailer's Tow certification
- Bachelor's degree in engineering or demonstrated equivalent skills
- Know how of CAN, ETH, LIN automotive communication networks
- Working knowledge of ADAS-Surround View Cameras with prior experience in automotive testing and validation
- Working knowledge and Vehicle test experience at Low speed ADAS features such as: TRA, TRSC, EOL, SC, etc.
- Experienced in use of requirements management tools. Familiar with concepts such as baselining etc.
- Working knowledge of defining Vehicle test specifications
- Working knowledge of Oscilloscope, Video Scope etc.
- ADAS product/test experience mandatory
