Settlers Bay Lodge is looking for a motivated, hardworking and positive individual to join our team. Must be fast on their feet and possess the ability to to remain calm in high-stress situations. When working on the line or in the kitchen, you can expect to work closely with all other staff members to ensure a positive dining experience for all our guests.
Daily responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Completing the responsibilities and the prep list created by the chef.
- Preparing and stocking the line for the night ahead.
- Correctly cooking and preparing the food orders in a timely manner.
- Labeling and stocking all ingredients on shelves so they can be organized and easily accessible.
- Measuring ingredients and seasonings to be used in recipes and preparing dishes.
- Preparing ingredients by washing and chopping vegetables, cutting meat, etc.
- Maintaining a clean and orderly kitchen by washing dishes, sanitizing surface's, taking out trash, etc.
- Complying with nutrition and sanitation guidelines.
- Properly breaking down and cleaning the line after each shift.
- Performing other kitchen duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- 1+ Years of kitchen experience preferred.
- Able to meet the physical demands of working in a busy kitchen/restaurant.
- Organized and capable of multi-tasking with attention to detail.
- Enjoys and works well being part of a team.
