PRIMARY PURPOSE:
This position will consist of rotation between the pit positions and various boxing positions and will follow the essential duties and responsibilities of both processes.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Qualified individuals must have the ability (with or without reasonable accommodation) to perform the following duties:
- Watch for voids and delam.
- Ensure that the proper square footage, to within 1% relative, is placed in all cartons by boxing the correct combinations of full lengths and randoms.
- Keep other boxers, leadperson, and supervisor informed of any quality defects in the material.
- During downtime, help clean the area, make boxes, or follow any assignments of the supervisor and lead.
- Ensure that each piece of flooring is properly placed on a dog.
- Ensure that every piece of flooring is pulled to align the defect mark with the laser light to ensure maximum yields.
- Help un-jam machine, when necessary, with the proper tool.
- Always keep the designated Hasko area clean and hazard free while working in the Puller position.
- Help with machine cleanup.
- Watch for defects on the end of the boards.
- Be aware of nearby saws and pinch points.
- Follow all general safety rules.
- Follow all Lock Out/Tag Out procedures.
- Follow all safety procedures and guidelines.
- Perform any other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, & ABILITIES:
- The ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
- The ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
- The ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with few concrete variables in standardized situations.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Must be able to successfully complete and pass a background check, employment verification and drug screening.
- Positive and Verifiable Work History.
