POSITION SUMMARY:
This position is responsible for providing managerial advice and oversight, and consulting services at assigned facilities in accordance with federal, state, and local regulations while meeting or exceeding budgeted standards.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: To perform this job, an individual must perform each essential function satisfactorily with or without a reasonable accommodation.
- Direct, plan, coordinate and oversee the delivery of health care at ten (10) or more Skilled Nursing Facilities, coordinating with the Clinical and Nutritional Services Directors
- Work with SNF Administrators and clinical support staff to ensure the highest level of care possible, including quality clinical outcomes via the Strive to Drive program, reduced survey deficiencies, and a decrease in legal actions
- Develops and implements policies and procedures, coordinated with the Clinical and Nutritional Services Directors, for improving SNF efficiency and quality of care
- Monitor a strong internal quality improvement program, including quarterly visits to visualize that key systems are in place and functioning
- Review and follow up with the Quality Assurance staff on a weekly basis to ensure key clinical systems are in place and functioning
- Develops in-service educational materials and conducts instructional programs for health care professionals
- Analyzes patient data and satisfaction surveys for reimbursement, facility planning, and quality of patient care, risk management and utilization management; based on this analysis, the RDOs along with the Clinical and Nutritional Services Directors, will implement policies and procedures to improve quality of care and satisfaction
- Works with SNF Administrators and the Marketing Department to develop marketing action plans and business development plans for each facility to assure the highest level of occupancy with the best possible quality mix and maximum revenue realization
- Review census trends with the SNF Administrators on a weekly basis
- Work with SNF Administrators and support staff to ensure customers are served at the highest level possible by ensuring that customer concerns are identified and addressed internally, and systems are revised based on feedback
- Work with the facilities to be the employer of choice in the communities we serve
- Strive for minimal open positions, low employee turnover, low overtime, and high employee satisfaction
- Represents the facilities at management financial meetings
- Participates in performance improvements activities as needed
- Review purchase requests, financial data, aging’s and performance data
- Other duties as assigned by Supervisor

Required Work Experience:
- Minimum of five (5) years’ experience in Skilled Nursing Facility, with at least four (4) years as a Nursing Home Administrator
Licensing/Certification/Education Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree required; Master’s degree preferred, in business or health care related field.
- Licensed Nursing Home Administrator
Other Requirements:
- Position may require unscheduled overtime, week-end work
- Must be willing and able to work flexible hours
- Must have reliable transportation for travel to facilities as needed
Required Computer Software/Equipment Used:
- Microsoft Suite including Outlook, Excel, and Word
- Ability to learn HRIS and/or scheduling systems
- Standard Office Equipment
Physical Requirements:
- Job will require frequent lifting of objects up to 40 pounds
- Subject to standing, walking, sitting, bending, reaching, kneeling, pushing and pulling
- Work is typically performed in a standard office environment; well-lit; comfortable temperature controlled; above-average conversational noise is frequent
