Account Executive, Nonprofit Customers
Pledge It is a fundraising & events platform that enables nonprofits to connect supporters with the causes they care about. Pledge It's platform provides powerful and intuitive fundraising tools to convert and retain donors. We're looking for an individual to join our Sales team who is ready to drive the sales process in a performance-based environment and partner with prospective customers to identify how nonprofits can get the most out of our fundraising platform. As an Account Executive, you will own the entire sales process using our tools to prospect, qualify, advance, and close new sales opportunities, ultimately empowering charitable causes to raise mission-critical funds. This role is an exciting, fast-paced opportunity that involves daily interaction with customers as well as our entire team.
What You’ll Do
- Generate new business through prospecting activities, nurturing inbound leads, and other developed strategies
- Execute demand generation activities to build and maintain pipeline coverage throughout the entire sales cycle
- Develop trusted relationships with prospects and clients and be adept at identifying the critical business needs they face
- Onboard new clients to execute a repeatable peer-to-peer program on Pledge It’s platform.
- Collaborate with the Customer Success team to manage ongoing relationships.
- Update and maintain all sales activities, opportunities, pipeline, and account information in our CRM
- Become a product expert: Develop and maintain strong knowledge and a thorough understanding of Pledge It software and how we solve customer pain points
- Work closely with our product team to share customer feedback, observations of customer challenges, and new ideas or features that would enhance the customer experience.
- Consistently exceed your quarterly and annual goals and earn incentive-based compensation accordingly
- Become a nonprofit and fundraising expert to navigate a consultative and strategic sales process with larger prospects
Who You Are
- You are a self-starter prepared to work independently and willing to collaborate in a remote environment using HubSpot, G Suite, Slack & Zoom.
- You possess a strong sense of empathy and a genuine desire to help customers succeed
- You have a passion for building effective relationships and driving growth with customers
- You have exceptional communication (both written and oral) and presentation skills
- You are technically savvy and excel in learning new products and tools quickly
- You are organized with the ability to multi-task, prioritize, and manage time efficiently between multiple accounts and projects.
- You possess a strong quantitative skill set with the ability to analyze data/results to support strategic recommendations
- You are energetic with a desire to work in a fast-paced startup environment.
- You have a bachelor’s degree and 2+ years of sales experience (formal sales training, preferred)
- You have experience using sales tools like HubSpot CRM, Salesforce, ZoomInfo, etc.
- Experience in SaaS, software sales, fintech, and/or nonprofit fundraising preferred
