Job Summary: We are seeking motivated and experienced Freight Agents, with an established book of business, to join our team. As a Freight Agent you will be responsible for managing logistics and transportation sales, building customer relationships, and ensuring efficient freight operations. This is a commission-only, remote role for a Freight Agent. The Freight Agent will be responsible for daily tasks associated with brokerage, including customer service, dispatching, and account management. Payment will be in the form of 1099 and will be at a rate of 40% of gross profit generated from the agent with the potential of increase up to 80%. This position is commission-only with no salary
Qualifications
- Strong knowledge of logistics operations - Specifically Freight Brokering
- Proven experience in transportation sales or logistics sales management
- Supply Book of Business - Required
- Excellent customer relationship management skills
- Proficient in data entry and record keeping
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
- Demonstrated ability to organize and prioritize workloads while consistently meeting deadlines
- Aptitude for critical thinking and a meticulous, process-oriented approach
- Highly organized, with exceptional multitasking abilities, outstanding time management skills, and unwavering attention to detail
- Self-motivated with an unwavering positive attitude, a sense of urgency, and the ability to thrive independently

- Develop and maintain strong relationships with customers, carriers, and vendors
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities
- Source and secure reliable carriers for freight transportation
- Negotiate competitive rates with carriers to maximize profitability
- Coordinate and track shipments to ensure on-time delivery
- Resolve any issues or delays in the transportation process
- Efficiently oversee the load life cycle, ensuring timely closure and accurate invoicing

Skills:
