Under general supervision, clinician performs a full range of therapeutic assignments related to the field of mental and behavioral health services. The Clinician has responsibility for performing, within the scope of licensure, conduct mental health assessments, provides a full range of psychotherapy and counseling for individuals and groups exhibiting a variety of mental health and related disorders and provides crisis interventions services. Performs other related duties as required.
Responsibilities:
- Provide therapy and counseling services to individuals and groups
- Conduct assessments and evaluations to determine appropriate treatment plans
- Collect and analyze data related to patient progress and treatment outcomes
- Ability to maintain confidentiality
- Manage caseload and maintain comprehensive client notes
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive patient care
- Ability to work with protected populations
Requirements:
- Master's degree or higher in a relevant field (e.g., Psychology, Counseling, Social Work) or currently enrolled in a Master's degree program in a related field (Associate Psychologist, ASW, ALMFT, APCC)
- Be registered with BBS or BOP or eligible
- At least 1 year experience in therapy and counseling
- Proficiency in data collection and analysis techniques
- Strong knowledge of writing comprehensive client notes
- Excellent communication skills for effective individual and group counseling sessions
- Ability to provide client care with empathy, compassion, and professionalism
The following are essential to employment in this position:
- Own, and have readily available for use, a licensed, working vehicle, or reliable transportation
- Valid California driver’s license
- Current vehicle insurance that meets minimum liability limits prescribed by California law
- Pass a background check
- Evidence of a negative tuberculosis examination within 60 days prior to employment or positive, but not contagious
Desirable:
- CASOMB, STABLE, and LS/CMI certifications (active)
- Experience administering and reading LS/CMI, STABLE, SOTIP, SORAG, and STATIC assessments
