The Superintendent of Schools announces the following position within the Fall River Public School System:
Position: Associate High School Principal
Job Description: To provide instructional, programmatic, and supervisory leadership in support of the educational needs of the students and staff of B.M.C. Durfee High School.
Performance Responsibilities:

Assume direct responsibility, as assigned by the High School Principal, for instructional, programmatic, supervisory and/or operational leadership and support;

Share responsibility with other high school administrators in the supervision and evaluation of classroom teachers and other building personnel;

Assist the High School Principal with all matters related to collective bargaining issues that may directly affect the day-to-day operations of the high school;

Collaborate with the principal and other administrators in the recruitment, interviewing and selection of high school teachers, administrators and support staff;

Coordinate and facilitate the delivery of high school educational programs and services;

Insure that instructional, counseling and support programs are balanced and equitable for all students;

Work with the High School Principal to conduct needs assessments and develop and implement programs that support curriculum and instruction goals;

Provide leadership and supervision to the high school department heads and alternative education program staff;

Assume the duties and responsibilities of the High School Principal in his absence, if so designated by the Principal or the Superintendent of Schools;

Communicate and collaborate with other system administrators, including middle school principals and. appropriate central office administration;

Provide leadership anti support for any high school restructuring initiatives that may developed by the High School principal;

Provide leadership and support to the high school accreditation process;

Participate in the preparation and administration of the high school budget, as assigned by the High School Principal;

Ensure that the high school has safe, equitable school climate focused on high expectations for all students and staff;

Organize and support an effective program of extracurricular activities that meet the varied needs and interests of the high school student body;

Assist the High School principal in the dissemination of school information, policies, and procedures to students, parents, teachers, administrators and support staff;

Play a key role in providing leadership and support for staff professional development and mentoring for new teachers, if assigned;

Other duties as assigned by the High School Principal and/or the Superintendent of Schools.
Required Qualifications:

Master's Degree

A minimum of five years of teaching and/or administrative experience;

Excellent organizational, communication, human relations and technology skills;

Appropriate MA administrative license as High School Principal;

A strong background in secondary school administration, curriculum, and program development that address the needs of a varied and diverse student body;
The Superintendent of Schools reserves the right to waive a position qualification or determine that there is an acceptable alternative to that qualification. If the Superintendent intends to waive a qualification, such intent will be shared with the Fall River School Committee.

Terms of Employment: Salary and benefits to be negotiated. Length of the work year and hours of employment shall be established within an individual contract.
Salary: Level 3B of the FRAA Administrator Salary Schedule 23-24 Salary Range $100,000 to 151,379
