Duties:
- Assist attorneys in preparing legal documents such as contracts, briefs, and pleadings
- Organize and maintain document management systems, including filing and indexing
- Proofread legal documents for accuracy and completeness
- Schedule appointments, meetings, and court hearings
- Answer phone calls and take messages with proper phone etiquette
- Transcribe dictations and prepare correspondence
- Assist with data entry and record keeping
- Perform general administrative tasks as needed
Skills:
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Proficient in Word and Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines
- Strong proofreading skills to ensure accuracy of legal documents
- Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information
- Proficient in clerical duties such as filing, copying, and scanning
This position requires a high level of professionalism, discretion, and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team. The ideal candidate will have some office or professional experience.
